Eva Thayer – Head Trainer

Eva Thayer grew up in Minneapolis, MN. As a child she had a variety of animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, rats even a chameleon at one point.

After graduating high school, she enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for 8 years on active duty. Eva made the decision to change careers so she could focus on her family. As her children got older, she decided to go back to school and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in criminology.

Eva struggled to find a job she was truly passionate about in that career field. During this time, she began training her own dogs, a German Shepherd mix and a Doberman Pinscher. Although it was hard without the help of a professional dog trainer, she realized she absolutely loved doing it. This led her to attend Starmark Academy and Canine Trade Group.

Eva is a dedicated, passionate professional dog training. She can’t wait to meet you and your dog and help your relationship flourish!

When Eva isn’t training dogs, she enjoys spending time with her four children and two dogs.
