At Longhorn Dog Training Austin, we believe dogs are a part of the family. They offer unconditional love and support, and they deserve the same in return. So if your dog starts making poor choices or develops bad habits, don’t just write him off—treat him like part of the family and give him a fair chance to turn his behavior around. We can help by giving you and your dog all the tools you need to succeed.

The Benefits of Crate Training Your Dog

The Benefits of Crate Training Your Dog  Crate usage for dogs sometimes gets a bad rep. Some people get the wrong idea on how to properly use crates, and their idea of using a crate seems “cruel” or “unfair”. There are ways to use a crate in a cruel or unfair way, but...

Potty Training at Any Age

Potty Training at Any Age When we think about dogs and potty training, we often visualize puppies learning housebreaking — pee pads scattered in different areas of the house, perhaps a crate set up to help the puppy learn to hold it in, or a bottle of enzyme-killing,...

How Can We Help Your Dog?

Our professional dog trainer serves the Austin, Texas area and is certified in canine psychology, canine history, training theory, and training methodology by Canine Trade Group. He possesses invaluable hands-on experience and a passion for the industry.  His main goal is to see dogs remain in the home instead of going to shelters, or worse. Let us help you establish or rebuild a strong human/canine relationship based on trust, respect, and effective communication.

We’ve helped small breeds, large breeds, young dogs, and old dogs. Our expertise is in canine behavior, which means we’ve helped the most aggressive dogs as well as those that are simply hyperactive or lack basic obedience. We also have a program designed especially for puppies for those owners who want to start their relationship out on the right paw.

Commitment Based, In-home Training Programs

We specialize in in-home training because one-on-one attention in a dog’s normal, everyday environment is the most effective form of training available. It allows us to customize the training specifically to your needs and the needs of your dog. You’ll be there every step of the way, and you’ll learn as much as your dog. Our goal is for you to feel as comfortable in handling and communicating with your pet as we do.

And don’t worry—these private, in-home lessons aren’t as expensive as you might think. We charge by the job rather than by the session, so you pay one fee at the start of training and that’s it. No matter how long it may take, we’re with you until the training goals are met.

So what are you waiting for? Let’s work together to solve your dogs’s behavioral problems. Call Longhorn Dog Training at 512.647.2130 or send an e-mail our way today.
